Sarah Geronimo Don't Want To Be Paired With Gerald Anderson

Sarah Geronimo's recent concert titled "Record Breaker" held at the Araneta Center, Cubao last November 7 was a sold out concert and were enjoyed by thousands of Sarah's fans and friends in the industry that filled up all the 25,000 seats at the stadium.

Yet, aside from her stardome, Sarah is a shy and quite off the camera and prefers to stay away from trouble. It's been a high topic lately as fans and celebrities compared her fame to Kim Chiu and when Sarah said she doesn't want to be tied up with Gerald Anderson both off-screen and on-screen to appease the Kimerald Fans.

"Masyado nang maraming nasasabing hindi maganda sa amin. [There are so many bad things said about us (Sarah and Gerald)," Geronimo told the gossip show "The Buzz" on Sunday.

Many Kimerald (Kim and Gerald) fans rush a violent reactions against a proposed film starring her and actor Gerald Anderson. Fans of the Anderson - Kim Chiu "love team" were opposed to the on-screen pairing between Geronimo and Anderson, and some openly criticized Geronimo and it stirs up the annoyance of Sarah's loyal supporters.

"Natuwa naman ako sa gestures ng mga supporters ko. Siyempre, nagre-react din sila kapag feeling nila masyado nang marami na nasasabing hindi maganda sa akin," pagtatanggol ni Sarah sa kanyang mga fans.

She understands why fans of Chiu and Anderson are reluctant to break up their favorite "love team", but that she had by no means forced to be coupled with Anderson- both on-screen and off-screen.

"Naiintindihan ko lahat 'yong mga fans ng 'Kimerald' (short for Kim and Gerald), wala sa akin 'yon. Hindi ko po kasi ipinagpipilitan ang sarili ko na makapareha si Gerald. Wala na, tapos na po. Ako na po ang nagsasabi na itigil na po natin [ang issue] kasi hindi maganda ang nagiging resulta," she said.

[I understand all the fans of Kimerald, that's nothing to me. I never forced myself to pair with Gerald. It's done, it's over. I'm asking everyone to stop making an issue out of it, because the results are not good.]

"The Buzz" host Boy Abunda, meanwhile, praised the singer for wanting to "stay out of trouble."

Abunda, who spoke in Geronimo's defense, described her as "shy and quite off-stage" and that Geronimo is a "good girl who always stays close to her family."
Though demure off-stage, Geronimo reportedly transforms into a daring performer onstage.
